Strictly Medicinal Organic Rama Tulsi (Holy Basil)
Strictly Medicinal Organic Rama Tulsi (Holy Basil)
Highly Aromatic Plant of the Ayurvedic Tradition
Rama Tulsi (Holy Basil) - Ocimum sanctum
A much esteemed basil of warm climates. In frost-free zones, perennial bush to 4 feet. In the temperate north, grow as an annual or bring indoors for the winter. Does well in pots.
Purple stemmed, highly aromatic plant of the Ayurvedic tradition.
120 days to maturity.
Approx. 50 seeds per pack.
Note from Horizon Herbs: "ERRATA: When we finally discovered a good source for dark purple Krishna tulsi, we increased our Tulsi offerings from three varieties to four. This necessitated a shift in the naming of two other Tulsis that we were already carrying. The naming changes date from Dec. 2, 2010. What we previously called 'Krishna Tulsi' is now called 'Rama Tulsi.' What we previously called 'Rama Tulsi' is now called 'Kapoor Tulsi.' What we previously called Vana Tulsi is (what a relief!) still called Vana Tulsi. And as mentioned previously we've added the dark purple Krishna Tulsi. I hope this naming change doesn't cause anyone too much concern."
