O'Henry Peach Tree
O'Henry Peach Tree
Late-blooming, delicious fruit.
The potted O'Henry Peach tree is a semi-dwarf variety that produces sweet, juicy fruit with a rich flavor. The fruit is large and round, with yellow flesh and red-blushed skin. The tree blooms in early spring with beautiful pink blossoms, making it a stunning addition to any garden.
This peach tree is self-fertile, meaning it can produce fruit on its own without the need for cross-pollination from another tree. However, planting another peach tree nearby can increase fruit production and improve the overall health of the tree.
The O'Henry Peach tree was developed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in 1968 and released in 1988. This variety of peach tree is known for its disease resistance, making it a popular choice for backyard gardeners and commercial orchards alike.
The O'Henry Peach tree is known for its late-ripening fruit, which means it can extend the peach season into late summer. The fruit is firm and holds up well when cooked, making it a great choice for pies, cobblers, and preserves. It is also delicious eaten fresh, with a flavor that is both sweet and tangy. One fun fact about the O'Henry Peach tree is that it is one of the few peach varieties that is not named after a location or a person. Instead, it was named after a character in one of O. Henry's short stories, who famously declared that he would rather have a peach than any other fruit.
Overall, the O'Henry Peach tree is a great choice for anyone looking to grow their own peaches. It is easy to care for, produces delicious fruit, and has a rich history and interesting name. Whether eaten fresh or used in recipes, the O'Henry Peach is sure to please.

We guarantee the perishable items we sell to be in good, viable condition when we sell them. Perishable items include, but are not limited to, garlic bulbs, flower bulbs, seed potatoes, onion sets & transplants, potted or bare root trees, vegetable crowns, etc. If your perishable item arrives in substandard condition, take photographs and please contact us within 3 days of the purchase date (or delivery date) and we will provide you with a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs), or a replacement. Accordingly, we urge you to open any boxes marked as ""Perishable"" immediately upon receiving them and inspect the shipment thoroughly (do not crack open heads of garlic, we do not accept claims on cracked garlic). Because some perishable items can deteriorate very quickly, we cannot accept any claims beyond the 3-day time frame as it becomes too difficult to determine if these items were delivered in substandard condition, or if they turned into such substandard condition because of having been improperly cared for or stored once delivered.
