Cauliflower - Purple - Brassica oleracea (Botrytis Group)
Annual A show-stopper purple cauliflower to add to your collection of purple vegetables. The distinctive color comes with a sweet flavor too, tending toward broccoli. When sown in July, it will produce deep purple heads the following February/March. Produces large purple heads that are not only delicious, but beautiful. Best success is with spring and fall crops. This is an overwintering cauliflower and requires cold temperatures to form heads.
Did You Know? Purple cauliflower is rich in flavonoids which makes the flesh purple. Also high in Vitamin C, with a fair amount of fiber, Vitamin A, folate, calcium and potassium.
