Tender annual Heirloom. Introduced from Armenia to Italy in the 1400s, this unusual and attractive 12"-18" cucumber is always sweet and crispy, even when fruit is large. Thin-skinned, green with ridges has a dense flesh, few seeds, and a pleasant, mild flavor, it is perfect for the fresh market. Also known as the Painted Serpent. Handle carefully to avoid bruising. Thrives in hot weather.

Soil & Water: Cucumbers love rich soil that is high in organic matter and well drained. Water heavily during fruiting.

Harvesting & Storage: These cukes grow from 2-3 feet long and 2 inches in diameter, but are best eaten when between 12-15 inches long.
