Once you receive you shipment of VermiPods, you should introduce them into the chosen medium immediately. If for some reason the VermiPods cannot be introduced into the medium immediately upon receipt, the VermiPods can be stored in a refrigerator set within a range from 38-42°F.
VermiPods may be placed in the medium anywhere from just beneath the surface to several inches beneath the surface. It is best if the medium is at or near the optimal moisture level at the time at which the VermiPods are introduced. This will speed the hatching process and increase the live birth rate. In the case of introduction of VermiPods into a medium of less than ideal moisture, the VermiPods will lay dormant until sufficient moisture levels and temperature levels are available. The hatch percentage will decrease over extended periods of time under poor hatching conditions. There are many ways that VermiPods can be introduced into the medium.
