Soil & Water: Grow in fine soil and keep evenly moist. After cutting, water well and fertilize to stimulate second or third growth.
Planting & Growing: Sow in finely worked soil in full sun in early spring or late summer. Sow seed in wide rows or broadcast lightly over bed and cover evenly with 1/4 inch of fine soil. Firm gently and water with a fine mist. Thin seedlings to about 12 inches apart. To extend season, provide light shade as temperature increases.
Harvesting & Storage:When heads reach 5 inches in height begin shearing with scissors 1-2 inches above soil.
