p>Sweet William - Lace Mantle - Dianthus barbatus

Biennial - his lovely cottage garden favorite has large velvety flower trusses densely packed with eye-catching, tiny fringed blossoms that make vividly colored, romantic bouquets. Purple, violet, crimson, salmon pink, and white.

Soil & Water:Give seedlings half-strength doses of fertilizer every other week. Feed and water well and keep blooms cut for longest season.Grows best in fertile, well drained soil.

Planting & Growing: Sow seed 6-10 weeks before frost free weather in spring. Dampen soil mix evenly, space seeds 1" apart and cover 1/4" deep. Keep evenly moist and provide a strong light source. Plant at 10-12" apart after acclimatized outdoors.
