Planting & Care
Soil & Water: Prepare a well drained, fertile soil in full sun. Keep well watered and weeded.
Planting & Growing: Sow groups of 2-3 seeds, each group 12-18 inches apart. Cover with 1/4 of soil and maintain soil moisture. Thin when several inches tall to 1 per group. Mulch to maintain moisture and weed.
To start indoors, sow in a container of seed starting mix 2 inches apart and covered with 1/4 inch deep. Keep moist and provide a strong light source until 3-4 inches tall. Plant outdoors when danger of frost has passed. Transplant 12-18 inches apart.
Harvesting & Storage: Begin harvesting individual leaves when plants have 6-8 leaves.
