Guarantee

We guarantee the perishable items we sell to be in good, viable condition when we sell them. Perishable items include, but are not limited to, garlic bulbs, flower bulbs, seed potatoes, onion sets & transplants, bare-root trees, vegetable crowns… etc. If your perishable item arrives in substandard condition, take photographs and please contact us within 3 days of the purchase date (or delivery date) and we will provide you with a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs), or a replacement. Accordingly, we urge you to open any boxes marked as “Perishable” immediately upon receiving them and inspect the shipment thoroughly (do not crack open heads of garlic, we do not accept claims on cracked garlic). Because some perishable items can deteriorate very quickly, we cannot accept any claims beyond the 3-day time frame as it becomes too difficult to determine if these items were delivered in substandard condition, or if they turned into such substandard condition because of having been improperly cared for or stored once delivered.

Reviews

8-10 bulbs grew, not all 15.

I bought 3 packets for a total of 45 bulbs. The bulbs were packaged nicely during shipping, however the direction of the sprouts were all over, not the right side up, most likely because of how they were stored. Many bulbs had the sprout going towards the roots.
After two months, I have 26 bulbs germinated, which means 19 bulbs were defective! Given such a dismal percentage of success with the bulbs, I am not too impressed with the product. I will update this later this year, when I get the flowers and harvest the saffron.

healthy bulbs!

I recently bought these and planted them in pots outside our sun room. Even with freezing temps at night, they are sprouting already. Can't wait to try some fresh saffron when they bloom.

Saffron crocus

I reside in New England and saffron crocus produce in the fall. I planted inside of grow bags and placed them in the basement because we have every critter that happens to enjoy these bulbs as great snacks. Within a few days they have stretch out and some have produced flowers. Beleive it or not I have saffron that I picked already. Great product and even for those who do not garden a great way to produce one of natures special spice!

Great Value for Years of Saffron

High quality bulbs arrived well-packaged. We've ordered these from other outlets in the past and these were of better quality and at a very reasonable price. From past experience, we've harvested a fair amount of saffron without much effort each fall. Let the bulbs naturalized for fuss free saffron. 30 or 45 bulbs should provide a year's worth of saffron for the average family--we like our paella, so we bought more.

Arrived quickly and in good condition.

The crocuses haven't had time to sprout yet so I can't comment on that aspect yet. They look healthy and I am excited to see how they do. I have them in large planters with good soil and mulch.
