    Use Instructions

    Deploy traps before planting and throughout the growing season. Put a lure on the sticky floor of a trap. Hang the trap a few feet away from the plants, about 4 ft. (1.3 m) high. Check it weekly for Cabbage Looper adult male moths. The appearance of Looper moths in a trap may indicate an infestation is underway or about to begin. Immediately, check plants for eggs and larvae on the underside of lower leaves. If chew holes are found, search that area and open damaged heads if necessary.

    If, however, the trap captures several adults and you find several larvae on a plant, pick larvae off by hand or use a spray that minimizes risk to beneficial insects, such as Monterey Neem Oil or products containing Bacillus thuringiensis, such as Safer Caterpillar Killer, or Dipel for large scale use. Continue use of this Kit to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment strategy and to trap as many adults as possible.
