Balanced Fertilizer for Use Through the Growing Season
- Derived from seabird quano, fish solubles and Potassium Sulfate
- For foliar application: Apply 2-4 quarts per acre in sufficient water to achieve thorough coverage. Smaller growers use 3-4 Tbs per gallon (3 oz per 1000 sq ft). For trees, berries and fruiting vegetables, such as tomatoes and peppers, begin spraying after the start of bloom. For all other vegetables and nursery and container plants, spray after the 4 (true) leaf stage. For grapes, begin spraying when canes reach 12 inches. Repeat application every 10-14 days. It is best to apply foliars in the early morning or early evening. Use a more diluted spray for lettuce and other leafy greens: 1-2 quarts per acre or 1-2 Tbs per gallon.
- For soil application: Use 5-10 gallons per acre as a side dress. Smaller growers use 8-10 ounces per gallon. For drip application, use 1-5 gallons per acre, or 6 oz per gallon.
