California Medic Mix - Nitrocoated Seed (lb)

Cool-season legume cover crop. This specialized blend is formulated for dryland systems with alkaline soils (pH 6.8–9.0) and annual rainfall between 8–20 inches. It combines Parragio, Scimitar, Sava, and Angel Medics with Antas Subclover to deliver excellent nitrogen fixation, erosion control, and weed suppression. Commonly used for overseeding pastures or interplanting in orchards, vineyards, or grain crops, this mix helps improve soil fertility while maintaining productivity. Medics can be undersown before grain harvest, providing ground cover and soil improvement without disturbing the main crop.

With fast germination in 5–10 days and a moderate growth height of 12–18", this mix establishes quickly and provides reliable seasonal coverage. Its legumes enrich the soil naturally while creating a dense stand that competes effectively with weeds. Nitrocoated seed ensures optimal germination and eliminates the need for additional inoculant.
