The best on the market. A remarkably strong flex-joint and Swiss steel blade that holds a superb edge. Imitations of this hoe invariably have weaker welds and inferior blades. Operates on a push-pull motion that works on both strokes, enabling you to slice weeds at their crowns, without hacking. Nuts and bolts are supplied with the replacement blades for easy replacement. You must order the 57" handle or the 8" handle separately.
This is by far the best hoe I have used in my 70 years. I wore out two blades over more than 10 years before the weld on the swivel joint finally gave way. A lot of helpers have used the hoe recently so I suspect it broke due to misuse.Review by garden bum (on 9/26/12)
I live on 2.3 acres so I have plenty of weeds. This tool has cut my weeding time tremendously. It moves very little dirt so it doesn't expose more weed seeds unnecessarily. I found it very easy and effective to use. Every garden should own one.Review by deb405 (on 6/12/12)
Bought this in a winter coupon special. Got a handle at Ace for $12. After 40 lazy years of dodging regular hoes this is fun. Tool is heavy duty and should outlast me. Cuts off weeds easily, leaving clear site to plant. It takes some effort because it's really digging a shallow trench. Good soil needs little cultivation; break up a few clods and plant. Weeding in season will be even easier. Cutting out grass clumps is still work. Wife used for flower beds and was also impressed with ease of use. Need to get another for my daughter who is just starting to garden like she means it. Great tool.Review by rc (on 4/28/11)
