Issai Hardy Kiwi, Male/Female

Smaller than I thought it would be, and I paid more than what I could have spent at tractor supply. But despite that, it's doing well and starting to get taller growing up the trellis. It's only the first year so I can't speak how the fruit tastes and grows. Time will tell. If I could do this over I would have gone for the affordable option and not over paid.

I thought this was going to do really well as soon as i planted it, it started sprouting leaves and looking really well. 2 months later its dead. I was much smaller than I thought it was going to be especially for its price.

Save your money. It's April 15, 2021 today. I received this plant in either late December 2020 or early January 2021 and I was disappointed in the size of the ISSAI KIWI plant. It is no bigger than the plants sold at Lowe's or Tractor Supply that come in the boxes that they sell every year on their display at the beginning of Spring. I could have paid $9.99 at Lowe's without paying $19.99 in shipping for the same size plant. What a rip off. The bamboo stake that was packaged with the plant was about 4 feet tall as well as the box it was shipped in. What an embarrassment. I paid 24.99 plus shipping for a plant that is less than 12 inches high...that came in a box 3 times as big as the plant itself. NEVER AGAIN. The only good thing I can say is it survived the winter in my garage and the leaves started to grow as soon as the plant broke dormancy.

Just wrote a review on figs, great, this, not so much. Followed directions as stated but for some reason this one just looks like it has died. I’m hoping it comes back because it’s still pliable, but right now it’s doing pretty bad. We’ll see and I’ll update later.

Got a pair of these in January and planted them in a large box quickly. They’ve both already started leafing out and have noticeably more growth every day.
