Spear & Jackson Tools Since 1760, Spear & Jackson of Sheffield, England, has been hand forging garden tools to last a lifetime. Although more expensive, they are preferred because they do not bend or fail like cheaper pressed steel tools. A forged tool is strong because it is formed from one thick piece of metal in several re-heating operations. There are no welds or joints. Please note, however, that even a forged tool can be damaged if used inappropriately. For example, a fork could bend if used to pry up an embedded boulder that should be dug out with a shovel. The Heritage line is inspired by the garden tools of yesteryear and maintains the same high quality. Tools come with a solid forged head, one-piece hardwood shaft and a 25 year guarantee. Rakes have a carbon steel head. Three tools can ship together, except the Garden Rake GDS253 which must ship alone. 43.5" tall, with a 32" handle and an 11.5" head.
Due to the length of this product, a $5 handling fee will be added to shipping charges. Up to 5 long handled tools may be combined in a single package, but cannot be combined with other items.
