Garlic Barrier is a quart-size garlic-extract concentrate for repelling listed insects from garden, orchard, farm, and landscape plants. It is applied to foliage as a preventative treatment, helping make sprayed plants less attractive to feeding pests rather than functioning as a conventional residual insecticide. The manufacturer lists the concentrate as 99.3% garlic extract and OMRI Listed for use in organic production.
Dilution and coverage depend on the crop, sprayer, and treatment goal. The manufacturer’s current information states that quart sizes are commonly diluted 50:1 or 100:1, while small hand-sprayer directions use a different proportion. Follow the package directions that match the application instead of carrying a rate from one use to another. Apply before pest pressure becomes established, coat permitted foliage evenly, and repeat only at the recommended interval. As a pollinator precaution, avoid spraying blooming plants or applying immediately before or during pollination.

It can be applied as often as weekly, but in most cases 10-12 times per season for pints/quarts and 4-6 times per season for gallons is enough.
Do not use just before or during pollination or bees will avoid the plants!
Mix the pint or quart size Garlic Barrier with water at a ratio of 1:10. Pints cover 7,500 sq ft and quarts cover 15,000 sq ft. The gallon size is concentrated and can cover as much as 10-12 acres; use at a 1:100 ratio.
Use with fish oil as a sticker-spreader to increase efficacy.
