Collection: Enjoy the Taste of Avocados from Your Garden
Avocado trees are a tropical tree that grows well in zones 9-10 but will not tolerate extended freezing temperatures like cold hardy trees. They should be protected when the avocado trees are small. They produce delicious fruit and enjoy moderate temperatures up to 85 or 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
These trees, measured from the top of the root ball, are 24-36” tall, with a trunk diameter between 1/4-1/2 inch. The trees are 12-18 months old and should start bearing fruit in their 5th year.
Within a month of delivery we suggest repotting into a larger (10"-12" diameter) container or planting directly in the ground. Avocado trees will grow to 15-20 feet; trees planted in containers will be less than 10 feet tall.
We have many types of avocado trees for sale, as well as great resources for how to care for an avocado.
