I bought this netting to replace a plastic product that was intended to support my cucumbers in the high tunnel. When it arrived, it was obvious the plastic was thin and would have sliced the stems to pieces as soon as the fruit bulked up, if it even managed not to break under the weight. This jute netting is soft enough to be supportive while still being gentle on the plants. Win-win! Strongly recommend for trellising.

I am reluctant to use plastic netting due to environmental concerns and have been growing pole beans on wire fence as a trellis. Worked good, but what a hassle to remove the vines from the fencing each season. Our Gardner at work was using this, so I thought that I would give it a try. When I first started to unroll it I thought it was going to get tangled up, but it went up surprisingly easy. Now at the end of the Harvest I can take everything down and toss it in the compost heap.
