  • Contains 35% calcium
  • Variable particle size provides both immediate and long-term fertilization.

Better than bone meal for me

The last 3 or 4 years the red oaks in our area of MaineI have produced an over abundance of acorns. Lots of acorns means lots of rodents and squirrels, which means distruction in the garden and many oak seedlings buried by the critters to dig out of the garden beds in thre spring. I learned bone meal can be attractant for even more rodents. Uhg! I was so glad to find Oyster Shell Flour, a good alternative for bone meal, at GrowOrganic.com. It isn't easy to find. I feel it has been the great bone meal alternative I was hoping it to be, but I can't judge if it will have any affect on rodent acarries all the organic gardening products I need, especially the hard to find items. Thank you Grow Organic.

I like this ground up shell, easy to use and effective. I had a pH of 5.2 and I applied a bit more that recommended and it raised the pH by the end of the season.
