The Fruit Tree Master Gardener at Fair Oaks, CA Horticulture Center suggested I purchase this book. He ahd a copy at the center and I was able tio briefly review the book. While it may be out of print, Pieceful Valley Nursery has availabe books. They shipped it the day I bought it online and it arrived the next day. The book is even much better than what I had hoped for. It has detailed information for every concievable topic related to fruit trees. Definitley worth the money.
If you're new to fruit trees, this is a perfect starting point. Covering everything from grafting/pruning to disease and pest identification, it's an incredible resource. The UC books are always full of accurate information but this one is an easier read than the master gardener textbook and less dense overall.
