Save a Branch Tree Support
Exclusively at GrowOrganic
Need a simple “tree crutch” to prevent broken limbs? Save-A-Branch is a durable, low-profile tree branch support that props up heavy, vulnerable limbs on fruit trees and ornamentals—especially when branches are loaded with ripening fruit or exposed to wind and rain.
- Fits common stakes: slides onto a 3/4" bamboo, wooden, or metal stake (stake not included).
- Supports larger limbs: cradles branches up to 2-3/4" in diameter.
- Bark-friendly: vinyl-capped prongs help prevent bruising and rubbing.
- Reusable + weather-resistant: heavy-duty, hunter-green metal blends into the canopy.
- Fast to install: easy to reposition as fruit sets and branches shift.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same thing as a “tree crutch”?
Yes. Save-A-Branch functions as a tree crutch by propping up heavy limbs to help prevent breakage during fruiting season or stormy weather.
Does it come with a stake?
No—this bracket slides onto a 3/4" stake you supply (bamboo, wood, or metal). Choose a stake length that comfortably reaches from the soil to the branch you’re supporting.
What size branch can it support?
The Y-cradle supports limbs up to 2-3/4" in diameter.
Will it damage the bark?
The prongs are vinyl-capped to help reduce rubbing and bruising. For best results, place the cradle so it supports the limb without pinching, and adjust if the branch shifts.
When should I install branch supports on fruit trees?
Install when branches begin to droop under fruit load—often after fruit set and as fruit enlarges. Recheck after wind or heavy rain and adjust as needed.
How many supports do I need per tree?
That depends on the crop load and tree shape. Many growers start with 2–6 supports for mature, heavily bearing trees and add more where limbs consistently sag or split.

We had a 3” diameter tree limb bearing down on a deck railing. I ordered a multiple number of your green support forks. Next , I picked up a 3/4 x 3/4 “ redwood 4’ stake our local garden center and then muscled the limb free of the railing and slid the support into position with the foot of the stake fitting perfectly between the Trex decking boards directly below.
This solved my dilemma of a beautiful, low lying, white pine branch.
After trying some makeshift remedies---I was SO happy to find this!
It made it all esy-peasy ;-))
I love these supports and will order more. Only improvenent would be if the support opening for the stake fit readily available stake dimensions. Will not order the bamboo stakes again.
The right kind of support the tree branches need.
I’m on my third order of these useful branch supports. They do the job. Would like to see a larger version to support thicker branches (that includes a larger support pole hole to allow use of heavy duty support pokes)
