Peaceful Valley Forage Blend Dryland Pasture Mix - Raw Seed (lb)
High Yield Cover Crop
Dryland Pasture Mix is a robust and drought-tolerant blend designed to rejuvenate soil health and establish resilient pastures in low-water conditions. This carefully crafted mix includes a selection of deep-rooted grasses and legumes, such as orchardgrass, perennial ryegrass, and clover, which work together to improve soil structure, prevent erosion, and promote sustainable grazing.
The grasses in this mix provide dense ground cover, reducing weed competition and protecting soil from erosion, even on slopes or in challenging terrains. Meanwhile, the nitrogen-fixing legumes enrich the soil with organic matter, enhancing fertility and supporting future planting cycles. Over time, this blend builds a strong, healthy root system that aerates the soil, improving its ability to retain moisture and nutrients.
Dryland Pasture Mix thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, making it ideal for dryland farming or pastures in arid regions. Its adaptability ensures strong performance in a range of conditions, offering a dependable solution for soil regeneration and livestock grazing.
Whether you’re establishing a new pasture or improving an existing one, this mix provides the foundation for a sustainable, productive system. Its dual benefits of soil enhancement and pasture productivity make it an excellent choice for farmers and land managers seeking long-term success.
Dairymen and cattlemen really love this mix for its high yield, high quality, and quick re-growth in spring.

I buy this from Grow Organic every fall to plant as pasture for my dairy sheep. It germinates very well and this provides the bulk if their feed until late spring/early summer. I prefer this over the forage seed from the local feed store because it doesn't come with a warning on the bag to wear gloves before touching and to not let anything ingest the seed. Gross. It's very clean and wonderful and I highly recommend.
Convenient mix of seeds, just what I wanted without having to buy some of each and mix them.
