Roselle Hibiscus Seeds (Organic)

Use Fresh for Jelly, Syrup or Wine or Dried in Herbal Teas

Roselle hibiscus seeds are an excellent choice for gardeners and small-scale farmers interested in growing vibrant, multipurpose plants that support both culinary and soil health goals. This striking tropical annual produces bold red stems and lush green foliage, followed by pale yellow flowers with crimson centers. Once the blooms fade, the plant forms fleshy red calyces that are harvested for teas, jams, sauces, and herbal remedies rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.

Native to West Africa and well adapted to warm climates, roselle thrives in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Its deep root system helps improve soil structure, while its fast growth and organic matter contributions make it valuable in crop rotations and regenerative garden systems. In cooler climates, seeds should be started indoors to ensure a long enough growing season for full calyx development. Plants can reach 4–7 feet tall and require space to spread.

Whether you're cultivating herbal tea ingredients, improving your soil organically, or adding tropical flair to your garden, roselle is a dynamic and rewarding addition. Harvest calyces just after flowering and enjoy continued growth until the first frost.

Tasty

I grew four of these and gifted one to a family member. They were really lovely. Have a nice distinct look. Little white flowers among red stems and dark green leaves. I used the roselles to add to my jam and it gave an awesome red color and tart flavor. Give them a try!
