Lemongrass Seeds

Asian Culinary Essential

Lemongrass seeds are an excellent choice for home gardeners and small-scale farmers seeking a fragrant, fast-growing herb with culinary and medicinal value. This tropical grass is known for its bright citrus aroma and flavor, making it a staple in Southeast Asian cuisine and herbal teas. It also attracts beneficial insects and can enhance biodiversity in garden spaces.

Thriving in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, lemongrass prefers warm conditions and regular watering to encourage vigorous growth. In USDA zones 9 and above, it grows as a perennial, while in cooler climates, it can be overwintered indoors or treated as an annual. With its tall, upright habit and graceful, arching leaves, lemongrass adds both visual interest and utility to herb gardens, borders, and containers.

Whether you're creating a culinary herb bed, experimenting with herbal medicine, or adding aromatic structure to your planting design, lemongrass is a versatile and low-maintenance addition. Start seeds indoors before your last frost and transplant once nighttime temperatures remain above 50°F. Plants reach 24–36 inches and can be harvested for their flavorful stalks throughout the growing season.

No germination

Could not get ANY seeds to germinate.. I'm assuming user error rather than a bad batch but I didn't think it would be so difficult. Not sure what I'm doing wrong!
