Marble Arch Salvia

I love how Salvia looks in Mt flower beds and I'm so excited to add this variety. Looking forward to feeding the butterflies and bees

Stunning

My favorite flower of all time. Magnificent and long lasting. You can save the seeds and resow the next year but the second generation seeds are no where near as beautiful as the first but you can still scatter them in an obscure place in the sun.

What a struggle!

I've been Growing Seeds of every type of flower Under the Sun for 30 years. Why am I failing at Marble Arch salvia? All I can figure is, the seedling mix I'm using this year is new. It seems to compact very easily and forms a crust on the top, which actually grows algae! I do believe this is why they continue to look droopy even though the water needs are evenly met! So my conclusion is that Marble Arch Salvia can be a little particular about what it is growing in. Today I'm going to repot all 36 plants in new soil . Hoping this will make a difference before the growing season is upon us . The germination was about 80% which is fair.
