Temperate Holy Basil Seeds (Organic)
Great For Tea
Temperate Holy Basil is a sacred herb cherished by home gardeners and small-scale farmers for its fragrant foliage, herbal benefits, and pollinator-friendly blooms. Known as Tulsi in Ayurvedic tradition, this annual herb grows vigorously in cooler climates, making it a reliable choice for temperate regions. With its purple-tinged stems and aromatic leaves, Holy Basil brings both beauty and purpose to herb gardens, vegetable beds, and mixed plantings.
The plant thrives in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. Once established, it forms a bushy structure and produces small, pink flowers that attract bees and other beneficial insects. Regular harvesting encourages branching and enhances leaf production. Holy Basil is widely used in teas, tinctures, and culinary blends, offering both calming properties and culinary versatility. Direct sow in spring or start indoors and transplant after the last frost for best results.
Whether you're growing a medicinal herb patch, enhancing biodiversity in your garden, or harvesting flavorful leaves for wellness use, Holy Basil is a rewarding and multipurpose herb. Plants reach 18–24 inches and bloom through the summer months.
