Pest Wizard Codling Moth & MORE Trap Kit
Codling Moth & MORE Kit - Grow Organic
To prevent damage to apple, pear, kiwi, citrus, and almond trees (also cherry, chokecherry, hazelnut, peach, plum and prune). It has a combination of lures that attracts codling moth, oriental fruit moth and various species of leaf rollers (tortricid moths).
- The combo lure is a 45-day lure.
- The Kit includes 2 paper Delta traps, pheromone lures, 2 hangers, and instructions.
Deploy traps beginning at bloom through harvest. Put a lure on the sticky floor of a trap. Hang the trap a few feet away from the plants, about 4 ft. (1.3 m) high. Check it weekly: the appearance of the pest in a trap may indicate an infestation is underway or about to begin. Continue use of this Kit to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment strategy and to trap as many adults as possible.
The Pest Wizard Codling Moth & MORE Trap Kit is an essential tool for gardeners and farmers aiming to protect their crops from moth infestations. This comprehensive kit targets three major types of moths that can cause significant damage: the codling moth, the oriental fruit moth, and tortricid moths. Each of these pests poses a unique threat to different crops, making a versatile and robust pest management system crucial.
Understanding the Target Pests
Codling Moth (Cydia pomonella): Primarily affecting apple and pear trees, the codling moth is notorious for its larvae, which burrow into the fruit, rendering it inedible. Adult moths lay their eggs on the leaves or young fruit, and the emerging larvae create tunnels through the fruit, leading to premature dropping and rot.
Oriental Fruit Moth (Grapholita molesta): This pest targets stone fruits such as peaches, plums, and cherries. The larvae bore into the fruit and shoot tips, causing wilting, fruit drop, and overall reduced fruit quality. The oriental fruit moth can have multiple generations per year, making continuous monitoring and control vital.
Tortricid Moths: Tortricid moths encompass a variety of species that can affect a wide range of fruit crops. The larvae of these moths are known to cause significant damage by boring into fruits and shoots, leading to reduced crop quality and yield.
Features and Uses of the Pest Wizard Codling Moth & MORE Trap Kit
The Pest Wizard Codling Moth & MORE Trap Kit provides an integrated approach to pest management, combining pheromone traps and lures to monitor and reduce moth populations effectively. The kit includes pheromone lures specifically designed for each of the three moth species, along with durable traps that can be easily set up in orchards and gardens.
Pheromone Traps: Pheromone traps are a cornerstone of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). They work by attracting male moths using species-specific synthetic pheromones, disrupting the mating cycle and reducing the number of larvae. These traps also serve as an early warning system, helping gardeners identify the presence of moths before they cause significant damage.
Easy Monitoring: Regular monitoring with the Pest Wizard Codling Moth & MORE Trap Kit allows for timely interventions. By placing traps in strategic locations around the orchard or garden, gardeners can track moth activity and adjust their pest management strategies accordingly. This proactive approach helps minimize chemical pesticide use, promoting a healthier and more sustainable environment.
Installation and Maintenance: Setting up the Pest Wizard Codling Moth & MORE Trap Kit is straightforward. Hang the traps at eye level in the canopy of the trees, using the provided lures to attract the target moth species. Check the traps weekly, replacing the lures every 4-6 weeks for optimal effectiveness. Regular maintenance ensures that the traps continue to provide accurate monitoring throughout the growing season.
Benefits of Using the Pest Wizard Codling Moth & MORE Trap Kit
- Effective Control: By targeting multiple moth species, the kit provides comprehensive protection for various fruit crops, reducing crop losses and improving yield quality.

The instructions were not helpful.. A brass tack was not strong enough to penetrate the cardboard. There was no way to fix the little black lure on the bottom. Very frustrating!
We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the instructions. We will work on improving them. One of the lures (the dark grey or black one) just is placed on the bottom of the delta trap in the middle of the sticky bottom. No need to secure it with anything as the sticky bottom will hold it in place.
Very poor did not work same problem as before.
My fruit like Asian pears, Apples and peaches did not have any effect on the placing coding moth kits in the trees, the fruit had infiltration of moths in the fruit just like before I used the coding moth kits.
This is a great kit. It is relatively simple to assemble. It makes it easy to monitor and trap moths that can infect tree fruit. Because it is disposable, the trap does not smell once flying predators have been captured and clean-up is easy.

from 9256 reviewsBulbs were dry, perfect to separate cloves. 1st time planting this variety. Very pleased so far.
Garlic arrived quickly. Nice healthy large cloves. Sprouted and came up in under 2 weeks. It's growing nicely and is about 6" tall right now
I love your seeds. Thank you so much for providing such a valuable resource during this horrible time with the food supply. Grow your own groceries!!!!...
I received the Shallots, they are very large and beautiful. I planted them and now we wait until they are ready for harvest, late spring or early summer.
A few cloves weren’t in good condition and I ended up with quite a few small cloves. I also ordered Shallots and I was disappointed that neither came with planting instructions. Even though I have planted them for many years, I couldn’t remember the correct spacing and depth for the garlic.
This Siberian is the best! Showed up in great shape, love this stuff!
Grow organic never let's us down! Russian Red garlic is fragrant and delicious!
Big garlic bulbs with large cloves arrived. I planted a couple of weeks ago and they are already starting to sprout!!!!
So happy with these! Planted within a day of package arrival and have a little bed of blooms five weeks later! Kept a hail/animal screen over them until recently because we have voracious bunnies. Will likely dig up corms over winter to make sure they don’t get frostbitten. Zone 5B.
I am very pleased with my purchase and am looking forward to harvest. The bulbs are of a good size and firmness. I have no doubts the coming harvest will be wonderful.
I received beautiful large garlic cloves. I'm very happy with them so far. They sprouted and came up in less than two weeks and are now 5" tall. Looking forward to harvest time next year
I accidentally planted a little early but I belive this will be a fantastic crop!!
Hoping this fabric will give me a break for a year or two from weeding!
Grow Organic continues to provide quality trees, plants, and flowers. They are the first people I look to when buying things for my garden.
Most of my garlic has sprouted and is growing vigorously . It has been dry so the sprouts emerged after watering . I look forward to the different taste and smells that these cloves will produce in late spring or early summer here in East Tennessee . Thanks for your quality products and service . Grow organic for life !
