Understanding Tequila Sunrise Sweet Peppers:
- Botanical Profile: Tequila Sunrise Sweet Peppers belong to the Capsicum annuum species. These peppers are prized for their stunning color transformation as they mature, starting from green and transitioning to shades of yellow, orange, and finally red.
- Flavor Profile: As the name suggests, Tequila Sunrise Sweet Peppers are known for their sweet taste, making them perfect for snacking, salads, and adding a mild sweetness to various dishes.
Cultivation Guide:
- Climate and Soil: Tequila Sunrise Sweet Peppers thrive in warm climates, requiring a minimum of 6-8 hours of sunlight daily. Plant them in well-draining soil enriched with organic matter.
- Planting: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last expected frost date in your area. Transplant seedlings outdoors when the soil has warmed and all risk of frost has passed.
- Spacing: Space pepper plants 18-24 inches apart to allow for proper air circulation.
- Watering: Provide consistent moisture, aiming for 1-1.5 inches of water per week. Mulch around the plants to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
- Fertilization: Use a balanced fertilizer or compost to provide essential nutrients during the growing season.
Care and Maintenance:
- Support: As Tequila Sunrise Sweet Pepper plants grow, they may benefit from staking to support heavy branches laden with peppers.
- Pruning: Pinch off the first blossoms to encourage stronger and bushier plants. Remove any damaged or yellowing leaves throughout the growing season.
- Harvesting: Harvest peppers when they reach the desired color and size. Use pruning shears or scissors to cut peppers from the plant to avoid damaging the stems.
- Pest and Disease Management: Keep an eye out for common pepper pests like aphids, spider mites, and whiteflies. Use organic insecticidal soap or neem oil to control pest infestations. Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases, and water at the base of the plant to avoid wetting the foliage.
- Uses in the Kitchen: Tequila Sunrise Sweet Peppers are versatile in the kitchen, adding sweetness to salads, stir-fries, and snacks. They can be enjoyed raw or cooked, and their vibrant colors make them a visually appealing addition to dishes.

from 9275 reviewsThe nasturtiums that I planted last season from Grow Organic are still blooming in November! I love the variety of colors
I really appreciate this softneck garlic!!
Thanks for the great and fast order,
The chickens really like the trsti g ot so I know to cover the larger rows
I was pleasantly surprised how perfect my Shallots came. They were very plump and no blemishes or tears in the outer skin. Would definitely purchase from Grow Organic again and will recommend to friends and neighbors.
We love this garlic. We've planted this variety several years in a row and haven't been disappointed. It's a great producer and has a flavor we love. We've watered and have gotten some rain here in Eastern Kansas and it is up and looking beautiful. Looking forward to harvest!
I was surprised@how big the shallots are! I can't tell if I need to break them apart? I'm fixing to plant them. The garlic is all in the ground on time, the deer try to eat the tender little green tops poking thru the soil
Nice, large bulbs with nice cloves for planting. Excellent quality.
...always order it.
This garlic arrived quickly. All large, healthy looking cloves. Sprouted after about 7 days and is approximately 6 inches tall at the moment
They arrived in perfect condition. Planted, and now we wait.
You won't be disappointed. I promise
Nice sized bulbs all in good shape!
Came in individual cloves and all healthy. 90 percent were large and perfect seed stock with a few smaller ones. Couldn’t be happier
It’s the easiest thing in the world and these folks supply good seeds. It grows over the winter and requires practically no care. I recommend it to anyone who loves gardening and misses it during the winter.
The shallots y'all sent were beautiful . I'm sure my next harvest will be beautiful and delicious . Thanks
I appreciate the extra shallots I received for the sale !
Bulbs were dry, perfect to separate cloves. 1st time planting this variety. Very pleased so far.
