Bt Mosquito & Fungus Gnat Bits (30 oz)

Summit Mosquito Bits are ready-to-use granules containing Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (Bti) for label-listed mosquito larvae in standing water and fungus gnat larvae in growing media. This 30-ounce package uses a corn-cob carrier to distribute the microbial active ingredient. Mosquito and fungus-gnat directions are different, so choose the correct method before measuring the product.

For small standing-water sites, the label rate is one teaspoon per 25 square feet or one tablespoon per 75 square feet, with retreatment based on the selected rate and local conditions. For fungus gnats, steep four tablespoons of granules in one gallon of water for 30 minutes, remove the granules, stir or shake, and apply the treated water to the growing medium. Repeat weekly for three weeks when the label calls for a treatment series. Do not use in treated drinking water. Avoid breathing dust or getting the granules in eyes, and wash after handling.
