Pest Wizard Cucumber Beetle Trap Kit

Cucumber Beetles are decimating our squash and cukes and so we did a bunch of research about how to lower their numbers and this trap was highly recommended. We didn't catch one beetle, but we caught a lot of beneficial bugs, and tragically caught a bird. A little song sparrow that I believe was eating the bugs off the sticky sheet. She got herself totally stuck, and in removing herself lost all her feathers, and died soon after. It was horrific and more than a little traumatizing. I think these traps are too large, too much surface area, perhaps if they were smaller, I don't know, but we took them all down and threw them away, couldn't bear to think about catching another bird. Put your traps up with care.

The info on the website was very clear and the purchase /pickup process was straightforward. I have not tried the traps yet, but expect that they will work as advertised.

The trap is what expected, but disappointed to see that I am catching more beneficial pollinator species than cucumber beetles. :(

Just put them up last night and I have a terrible infestation. I didn't even have them quite hung up and 2 were already stuck. I've been murdering them by hand (they are really messing up my plants!) This morning, TONS of them on the sticky stuff. Only downside...don't stand underneath them if they are up high...got it stuck in my hair! I did escape.
