Organic Broccoli, Chinese, Te You (1 oz)
Grown for Its Tender Stalks and Leaves
Broccoli - Chinese - Te You - Brassica oleracea (Alboglabra group)
Hardy Annual An Asian broccoli grown not for its florets but for its succulent stalks and flavor-rich leaves. Add this to your cool-season garden in spring and fall. Harvest the stalks when the buds are closed, or let a few open and have a flowering dish on your dinner table. Mildew resistant, heat and cold tolerant.
Did You Know? Chinese broccoli is also known as Chinese kale since it is grown for its stalks and leaves rather than florets.
Soil & Water: Sow or plant in well-composted soil with good drainage and air circulation. Plants prefer a soil pH of 6.0-7.2 that is evenly moist.
Planting & Growing: Start indoors 5-7 weeks before the last frost or seed directly 4 weeks before last frost. Seed directly in late summer for fall crops. In mild winter areas, sow late fall for winter yields.
