Description

‘All Season Blend’ Long Harvest Broccoli is presented as a specific seed variety for gardeners comparing choices by growth habit, seasonal timing, mature size, and intended use. The description below separates identifying traits from sowing and growing information, keeps numerical ranges visible when they are present in the product record, and avoids turning general crop guidance into a fixed promise. Use these details with the packet and local conditions when planning the planting, then record actual emergence, harvest, or bloom timing for future sowings successfully.

Schedule ‘All Season Blend’ Long Harvest Broccoli for the cool-season planting window appropriate to your climate. Start seed in a protected setting or direct sow when the product record allows, then thin or transplant so each plant has room to develop. Check moisture at root depth and adjust irrigation to weather and soil rather than a universal schedule. As maturity approaches, inspect head, stem, or leaf development according to the crop type and harvest at the preferred size and firmness.

Because this packet contains a mix, component proportions and the number of varieties visible in a small planting will vary. Emergence, growth rate, mature size, color, and harvest or bloom timing can also differ among components and with site conditions. Evaluate the planting across the full season rather than assuming the first seedlings, flowers, or harvest represent the entire mix.

Before sowing ‘All Season Blend’ Long Harvest Broccoli, review the packet alongside the current product details and note any range in temperature, germination, or maturity. Ranges reflect biological and seasonal variation rather than a fixed promise. Label each planting with its date and location, then compare emergence, growth, and harvest with local weather. This record is useful for succession plantings and for deciding whether the crop fits better into an earlier or later seasonal window.

Treat ‘All Season Blend’ Long Harvest Broccoli as a collection of components rather than a uniform single variety. Keep labels with separate packets, compare seedlings over time, and allow for differences in emergence, mature size, color, and seasonal timing. Site preparation and weather can change which components are most visible, so assess the planting across the intended harvest or bloom period.

Planting & Care

Planting:
Best to Start Indoors
Start seeds 4 or 5 weeks before last expected Spring frost and again in mid-Summer for a fall crop. Sow seeds 1" apart in a container of seed starting mix, cover ½" deep and keep evenly moist. Provide a strong light source until seedlings are ready to plant out. When seedlings are 3" - 4" tall, transplant 12" - 18" apart into rich, well-drained soil in full sun, after gradually acclimating to outdoor conditions.

To Start Outdoors
Sow seeds in well-worked, fertile soil in full sun. Space seeds 2" - 3" apart in rows 18" apart. Thin when seedlings have 4 - 6 leaves.

Thin or Transplant Space 12" - 18" apart.

Growing: Broccoli needs rich soil and cool growing weather to produce big heads. Prepare soil well and no not let seedlings get too crowded before transplanting or your will stunt heads. Keep well watered and weeded and feed monthly with all-purpose fertilizer. Use non-toxic B.T. (Bacillus thuringiensis) products to repel caterpillar pests as necessary.

Harvest & Use: Harvest the main head before florets open by cutting about halfway down the stalk. This will encourage smaller side shoots to form for extended picking from each plant.
