A temperamental plant, sensitive to under watering or under fertilization. Side dress with compost in mid-season. Use row cover early on to block cabbage family pests.

Harvesting and Storage: Cut heads when they are fully developed. The plant will not re-sprout new heads. Eat raw or lightly cooked for best flavor and color.

Great grower!

Doing really great in my grow bag, waiting on a great yield. One thing I can say is this is definitely attracting a cabbage white to come by everyday so it must be delicious so invest in some good pest protection when planting!

Great germination!

First growing season trying groworganic.com seeds. Purchased these broccoli seeds (and other seeds; cauliflower, squash, tomatoes) on Jan 8, 2020. Started them indoors 9 days ago in cardboard egg cartoons. I generally put 2 seeds in each pod because often only 1 germinates, or 1 of the 2 is unhealthy and gets plucked. Not with these seeds; after 9 days, I am having to separate them early as over 90% germination rate and all the seedlings look health! And this is after I planted the seeds and practically dropped the egg container and some seeds got buried deep, and others right on top after that, so I wasn't expecting great results. Seedlings look healthy! If this review lets me come back and update it 60 days, I'll report back after they are transplanted outside and hopefully I'm eating produce. I am in hardiness zone 5.

Awesome!

I planted these in my seedling tray under an LED light I just purchased, and they sprouted within days! I am excited to cultivate my own Broccoli! I have never used an LED light, and I was concerned because it was a cheaper one, but these seedlings love it.

Excited to try

Broccoli is best farm fresh and I'm excited to try it out in the spring. The freshest vegetables are the most tender and flavorful. I love knowing that these seeds are healthy for my body and the environment.
