Description
Description
Organic Arctic Snow Lavender is a certified organic English lavender selection distinguished by white flower spikes above compact, aromatic gray-green foliage. The pale bloom color creates a crisp contrast with purple lavenders, silvery herbs, and dark-leaved perennials, while the stems can be cut for fresh arrangements or dried displays. Its bushy perennial habit also suits containers and sunny border edges.
Arctic Snow is listed for USDA Zones 5–9 and needs full sun with excellent drainage. A raised position or amended planting area can be helpful where native soil remains wet. Check winter suitability with the USDA Growing Zone lookup. Chill-hour totals and companion pollinizers are not relevant requirements for this ornamental and culinary herb.
Transplant at the original soil line and water the root ball thoroughly. During the first season, monitor moisture where the nursery mix meets the surrounding soil; that interface can dry faster than expected. As the plant establishes, extend the interval between waterings according to weather and drainage. Do not keep the crown continually wet, and avoid automatic monthly fertilizer schedules. Lavender generally maintains a firmer habit in leaner, freely draining conditions.
Cut stems as buds begin to open for drying or wait until more florets open for garden and fresh-cut display. After flowering, remove spent spikes and lightly shape leafy growth without cutting into old bare wood. White flowers may show weathering more readily than darker cultivars, so harvest when stems are fresh. Watch for root stress, mites, and foliage symptoms, especially in humid or crowded sites. The transplant guide for small plants provides establishment steps, while our beneficial-insect flower guide helps coordinate other bloom sources. This page is limited to cultivation and ornamental or culinary use.

Planting & Care
Planting & Care
Soil & Water: Grow in well-drained soil with average fertility.
Planting: Plant starts in late spring or early summer, once the soil has warmed up to at least 60°F (21°C). Space plants 2 feet apart.
Growing: Plants flower lightly during the first season and come into full bloom in their second summer. After the blooming season, prune and shape the plants while cutting off spent flower stalks. If their requirements are met, these sturdy plants will take more humidity than other lavenders.

We guarantee the perishable items we sell to be in good, viable condition when we sell them. Perishable items include, but are not limited to, garlic bulbs, flower bulbs, seed potatoes, onion sets & transplants, potted or bare root trees, vegetable crowns, etc. If your perishable item arrives in substandard condition, take photographs and please contact us within 3 days of the purchase date (or delivery date) and we will provide you with a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs), or a replacement. Accordingly, we urge you to open any boxes marked as ""Perishable"" immediately upon receiving them and inspect the shipment thoroughly (do not crack open heads of garlic, we do not accept claims on cracked garlic). Because some perishable items can deteriorate very quickly, we cannot accept any claims beyond the 3-day time frame as it becomes too difficult to determine if these items were delivered in substandard condition, or if they turned into such substandard condition because of having been improperly cared for or stored once delivered.
