French Garden Bean Seeds (Organic)

Tender pods, gourmet flavor.

French Garden Bean, often referred to as a filet or haricot vert, is a gourmet variety prized for its slender, crisp pods and mild, nutty flavor. Each pod grows to about 5-6 inches long and is smooth, tender, and stringless, making it perfect for fresh eating, steaming, or sautéing. Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, French Garden Beans mature in just 50-55 days, delivering an early and abundant harvest. The compact, bushy plants are highly productive and easy to grow, making them ideal for garden beds, raised beds, or containers. Regular harvesting encourages continuous production, ensuring a steady supply of tender beans throughout the season. This variety is resistant to common bean diseases, ensuring healthy growth and reliable yields. French Garden Beans are a favorite among chefs and home gardeners for their exceptional flavor, versatility, and ease of cultivation. Whether you’re preparing elegant side dishes or enjoying a snack straight from the garden, this variety is sure to impress. Add French Garden Beans to your vegetable garden for a touch of gourmet flavor and dependable performance.

good stuff

Just planted a row for a later season harvest. Most likely still time here, we shall see. This is a very tasty bush bean, and I tend to eat them all while I'm still in the garden...

Tender & heavy-yielding

This has become the only snap bean I bother with, for Farmers Market sales. The pods are slender, straight and remain stringless and tender up to full size. They're delicious uncooked or just lightly blanched: customers also report grilling them with small asparagus and green garlic. The plants were so full and yielded so well, beans could be picked by the handful! This year I plan to space them at 6" instead of the recommended 3".

Great Harvest

We have purchased products from here before and have always been satisfied. The seeds we have planted for our summer garden have already to started to sprout. Can’t wait till they grow a little bigger and it warms up enough to plant them in our outside garden.

90% of seeds germinated

Bought a few packs of the french garden beans. Most of the seeds germinated and have produced healthy plants. Seeds were directly sown in the soil with watering each day. Groworganic.com were quick to process my purchase and ship the products. Overall great service.
