Calabrese Broccoli Seeds (Organic)

Calabrese Broccoli Seeds (Organic)

Heirloom favorite, tender florets.

Calabrese Broccoli is a classic heirloom variety cherished for its large, deep green heads and tender, flavorful florets. Originating from Italy, this broccoli grows on sturdy plants that produce a main central head, followed by numerous side shoots for an extended harvest. Thriving in full sun and rich, well-draining soil, Calabrese Broccoli matures in 60-85 days and performs well in both spring and fall gardens. The mild, slightly nutty flavor of the florets makes them perfect for steaming, roasting, or adding to soups and casseroles. This variety is known for its cold tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cooler climates. Regular harvesting encourages additional side shoots, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh broccoli throughout the growing season. With its exceptional flavor, high yields, and ability to produce over an extended period, Calabrese Broccoli is a must-have for home gardeners. Whether you’re growing it for its heirloom heritage or its versatile culinary uses, this variety delivers dependable performance and outstanding taste.

Easy and reliable

I've grown this broccoli for a few years now, and have been pleased with the results. It gives a nice central head and then smaller side shoots to enjoy for quite a while after the main head is harvested. You can also harvest and steam or sauté the leaves as you would kale or spinach.

Sprouting great, saw results in a few days using organic soil. Hopefully they continue growing at the current rate!

Just planted today.

This came up for review, but I only just planted today. I am expecting wonderful things from these seeds as I have not had any issues with seeds from this store before.
