Planting & Care

Soil & Water: Oregano prefers light, well-drained, moderately fertile soil with a neutral pH. Water regularly, but moderately.

Planting & Growing: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before frost or sow seed directly after last frost, when soils have reached at least 60°F. Pinch during early growth to establish a bushier habit.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest leaves as desired. Leaves retain flavor well when dried; dry away from sun to preserve color and flavor. Store in an airtight container.

Grew Well

Grew well if direct sown in Zone 9a. They grow fast and taste great!

Good seeds lead to healthy plants

I've ordered many of my seeds from Peaceful Valley for years now and I've never been disappointed. I got a jump on the growing season by planting some of these seeds in flats in my greenhouse. They germinated quickly and are growing into healthy plants that I will soon move out to my herb garden. I am looking forward to harvesting fresh oregano for my cooking endeavors.

Awesome

I planted these in my seedling tray under an LED light I just purchased, and they sprouted within days! I am excited to cultivate my own Oregano! I have never used an LED light, and I was concerned because it was a cheaper one, but these seedlings love it.
