Sage Seeds (Organic)

Sage Seeds (Organic)

Aromatic herb, timeless flavor.

Sage is a versatile and aromatic perennial herb prized for its bold, savory flavor and ornamental appeal. The soft, silvery-green leaves are slightly fuzzy, exuding a rich fragrance that enhances a wide variety of dishes, including stuffing, roasted meats, soups, and teas. Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, sage is drought-tolerant and easy to grow, maturing in about 75-85 days. This hardy plant grows to about 18-24 inches tall, making it suitable for herb gardens, borders, or containers. Sage is not only a culinary powerhouse but also an attractive ornamental, producing delicate spikes of purple flowers in the summer that attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Regular harvesting encourages fresh growth and ensures a steady supply of flavorful leaves. Sage is a long-lived herb that performs well in both Mediterranean-style gardens and traditional vegetable patches. Its combination of culinary versatility, low maintenance, and visual appeal makes it an essential addition to any garden. Whether you’re using it fresh or dried, sage brings warmth and depth to your favorite recipes while adding a touch of beauty to your outdoor space.

Soil & Water: Sage prefers well-drained, moderately rich soil with plenty of organic matter. Provide light afternoon shade in warmer climates. It requires minimum water once established. Hardy in zones 4-8.

Planting & Growing: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Sage makes a good companion plant, especially for rosemary, cabbage, and carrots.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest leaves when the plant is large enough. Use leaves fresh, or dry and store leaves in an airtight container. Sage also keeps well frozen.

Can’t wait to have fresh sage! The seeds arrived quickly and germinated, and survived a transplant to a different area of the garden.

Easy sage

I grew sage for the first time last year, thinking it would be difficult for some reason, but it wasn't! It germinated and grew well, and produced lots of leaves for all the sausage we made. Growing my own herbs saves me tons of money, and Peaceful Valley seeds always perform well for me.

Awesome!

I planted these in my seedling tray under an LED light I just purchased, and they sprouted within days! I am excited to cultivate my own Sage! I have never used an LED light, and I was concerned because it was a cheaper one, but these seedlings love it.
