Healthy noodles, nutty flavor.

Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, Spaghetti Squash matures in about 90-100 days and grows on vigorous, sprawling vines. This variety stores well, retaining its flavor and texture for months, making it a perfect choice for fall and winter meals. The plants are easy to grow and highly productive, delivering multiple squash per plant. Resistant to pests and diseases, Spaghetti Winter Squash is a reliable option for gardeners of all experience levels. Whether you’re roasting it as a side dish or using it as a base for hearty meals, this squash brings flavor, nutrition, and versatility to your kitchen.

Soil & Water: Provide squash plants with deep mounds of organic matter, rich soil, and heavy, even water. All squash are extremely frost sensitive, so use plastic mulches to heat soils in early spring and row covers to protect from frost at both ends of the growing cycle, especially in short growing seasons.
Planting & Growing: After all chance of frost has passed, plant 4-5 seeds in hills 6'-8' apart.
Harvesting & Storage: Spaghetti squash is ready to harvest when its skin color changes from cream to buff. Very easy to grow, it can be stored for 1-2 months in a cool dry location.

I love growing this variety of winter squash in my garden since it's so great as a pasta alternative. It is super easy to grow, and has done very well the past 2 years for me!
The seeds produced huge vines. Lots of fruit, but half of my squashes were cross pollinated. So half my squash were a cross breed of spaghetti squash and zucchini. We have not cut down the fruit yet, it is still hardening, but I imagine the cross breed may not be edible. This brings with the seed. It happens from the previous batches. It only produces a cross breed I n the next growing cycle. So there is a chance the seed provider was unaware.
GrowOrganic served me well with Delicata Squash seeds so i'm back to try the Spaghetti Squash seeds. I ordered some Spaghetti Squash seeds from another outfit a few years back and was disappointed with the squash plants. GrowOrganic's Delicata Squash seeds have been so hardy (I accidentally planted almost a month too early) through an incredibly cold spring. They are thriving and i'm anticipating some great Delicatas so I thought i'd try the Spaghetti Squashes again but this time with GrowOrganic.
One of my favorite Squashes for a Spaghetti substitute and it is also great to make patties to go with eggs for breakfast.
Super easy to grow vine that produces large squash.
