Honeyscented Gulf Winds Alyssum Flower Seed Mix
Honeyscented Gulf Winds Alyssum Flower Seed Mix
Low Growing Honey Scented Color
Alyssum - Gulf Winds - Lobularia maritima
Hardy Annual - The tiny fragrant flowers of Gulf Winds grow in soft clusters that soon form a ground-covering pastel tapestry in rose, soft pink, lilac and white. Easy to grow and blooming in just 6 - 8 weeks, Gulf Winds is perfect to carpet rose or bulb beds, unify and fill in containers, or blend and soften garden borders. The 4 - 6" plants' honey-scented perfume wafts in the air all summer long and their sweet nectar is a magnet for butterflies.
Soil & Water: Given ordinary garden soil and even moisture, Gulf Winds grows easily and blooms profusely just 6 - 8 weeks from sowing.
Planting & Growing:Sow seeds as thinly as possible in early spring in well-worked soil in a sunny spot. Cover 1/4" deep and keep evenly moist while awaiting germination. Thin or transplant carefully 3 - 4" apart when seedlings are large enough to handle, or before they become crowded so these fast-growing plants have room to mature and spread. In mild winter areas, sow Gulf Winds alyssum in the fall around bulbs, in containers or to cover bare areas. Plants overwinter to bloom all spring in a pretty carpet of pastel shades.
Harvesting & Storage: Plants stay compact and don't get rangy. After the first flushes of intense flowering are over, cut plants back halfway to re-bloom abundantly.
Soil Temperature: above 50°FPlanting Depth: Very lightly
Germination: 10-14 Days
Height At Maturity: 4-6"
Sun/Shade: Full Sun
Spacing After Thinning: 3-5"
Approx Seeds per Pack: 560 Seeds

Great germination rate! I think every seed sprouted and even survived me pulling them apart and replanting!
Let customers speak for us
from 9275 reviewsThe nasturtiums that I planted last season from Grow Organic are still blooming in November! I love the variety of colors
I really appreciate this softneck garlic!!
Thanks for the great and fast order,
The chickens really like the trsti g ot so I know to cover the larger rows
I was pleasantly surprised how perfect my Shallots came. They were very plump and no blemishes or tears in the outer skin. Would definitely purchase from Grow Organic again and will recommend to friends and neighbors.
We love this garlic. We've planted this variety several years in a row and haven't been disappointed. It's a great producer and has a flavor we love. We've watered and have gotten some rain here in Eastern Kansas and it is up and looking beautiful. Looking forward to harvest!
I was surprised@how big the shallots are! I can't tell if I need to break them apart? I'm fixing to plant them. The garlic is all in the ground on time, the deer try to eat the tender little green tops poking thru the soil
Nice, large bulbs with nice cloves for planting. Excellent quality.
...always order it.
This garlic arrived quickly. All large, healthy looking cloves. Sprouted after about 7 days and is approximately 6 inches tall at the moment
They arrived in perfect condition. Planted, and now we wait.
You won't be disappointed. I promise
Nice sized bulbs all in good shape!
Came in individual cloves and all healthy. 90 percent were large and perfect seed stock with a few smaller ones. Couldn’t be happier
It’s the easiest thing in the world and these folks supply good seeds. It grows over the winter and requires practically no care. I recommend it to anyone who loves gardening and misses it during the winter.
The shallots y'all sent were beautiful . I'm sure my next harvest will be beautiful and delicious . Thanks
I appreciate the extra shallots I received for the sale !
Bulbs were dry, perfect to separate cloves. 1st time planting this variety. Very pleased so far.
