Identification is the first step to treatment. Carry these pocket-sized laminated pest ID cards in the field as handy references for identifying and monitoring major insect and mite pests and several important diseases in deciduous tree fruits and nuts.

Each pest is identified by a description and close-up photographs of important life stages. Cards identifying important natural enemies are also included.

Carry the cards while scouting to compare symptoms, life stages, seasonal timing, and monitoring methods in the orchard. Identification images are a starting point; similar damage may have environmental or disease causes. Confirm uncertain findings with extension or diagnostic resources before treatment. Any pesticide decision must follow the current product label, crop registration, preharvest interval, pollinator precautions, and local regulations.
