I bought these gloves specifically to hike up the Half Dome cables in Yosemite. Two metal cables allow hikers to climb the last 400 feet to the summit without rock climbing equipment. Nitrile gloves were recommended to get the best grip. These gloves did their job on the half hour climb, I don't think I would have made it up without an excellent grip. Standing on top of Half Dome made me feel accomplished, crazy, exhausted, proud, and alive! Now the gloves have retired to help me in the garden.

These are the perfect garden gloves, fitting snugly enough I can still do delicate work with little plants in the garden. Perfect!
