The 55 mm Pottiputki is a stand-up planting tube for placing compatible tree seedlings during forestry, restoration, and repeated field planting. The heavy-duty metal tube has an inner diameter of 55 millimeters, or approximately 2.2 inches. A foot-operated mechanism opens the planting tip while the operator remains upright.

Match the seedling plug, bare-root system, or root wrap to the tube opening before going to the field. Prepare the site as required, position the tube vertically, and use the foot control and release sequence described in the tool instructions. Confirm that roots are directed into the planting hole rather than folded or crowded.
