Description

Down To Earth Acid Mix 4-3-6 is a granular fertilizer formulated for blueberries, raspberries, rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas, evergreens, and other plants that perform best in acidic soil. The 5 lb box is a versatile home-garden size for feeding multiple plants and making repeated seasonal applications.

  • NPK: 4-3-6, with 3% calcium, 2% magnesium, and 2% sulfur.
  • Best uses: Acid-loving berries, flowering shrubs, evergreen trees, and ornamental plants.
  • Fertilizer form: Granular blend for incorporation into planting soil, side-dressing, or surface application.
  • Derived from: Cottonseed meal, fish bone meal, langbeinite, rock phosphate, and seaweed meal.
  • Additional ingredient: 2.5% humic acids derived from Leonardite.

Use Acid Mix during active growth to supply nutrients that support foliage, roots, flowering, fruit development, and overall plant vigor. It can be incorporated into soil before planting or distributed around established plants and watered in. Because fertilizer and soil-acidification needs vary, test the soil when possible and follow the current package label for plant-specific rates and timing.

Choose the 1 lb box for containers and small plantings or the 25 lb bag for larger berry rows and landscapes.

How Acid Mix 4-3-6 (5 lb Box) fits a fertility plan

  • Supports fertility programs for crops that perform best within a moderately acidic soil range.
  • Helps gardeners make a measured pH-management choice when a current soil or water test shows that adjustment is appropriate.
  • The package size and formulation shown in the title allow the product to be matched to containers, beds, orchards, or larger production areas.

Application guidance: Test first and adjust gradually. Soil texture, buffering capacity, irrigation-water alkalinity, and existing pH all affect the amount needed and the time required for change. Follow the label rate, mix or distribute evenly, water as directed, and retest before repeating an application. Do not use pH amendments as a substitute for crop-specific nutrition.

Compare related soil pH fertilizers and amendments when building a complete program.
