Description

The Peaceful Valley General Purpose Erosion Mix is a practical choice for gardeners, homesteaders, and landowners seeking a fast-growing solution to soil erosion and weed suppression. This annual mix combines hardy grasses and legumes that establish quickly to create a dense ground cover, reducing runoff and protecting soil structure. Nitrocoated® seed enhances germination and early growth, making it a reliable option for slopes, bare patches, and transitional planting zones.

Adapted to a wide range of soil types and climates, this mix thrives in full sun to partial shade and plays an important role in organic land care practices. It not only holds soil in place but also builds long-term fertility by improving soil texture and promoting beneficial microbial activity. Perfect for orchard understories, disturbed areas, or restoration projects, the erosion mix can be broadcast and lightly raked into prepared soil in spring or fall.

Whether you’re preparing land for future planting, improving water retention, or simply maintaining healthy, resilient soil, this general-purpose blend offers a natural and low-maintenance solution. It also supports habitat restoration and pollinator activity by creating a biologically active ground layer.
