Description

Down to Earth Citrus Mix 6-3-3 is a granular fertilizer formulated for citrus trees and other fruiting plants. The 25 lb bag is suitable for home orchards, larger plantings, and container programs when applied according to the product label.

Citrus Granular Fertilizer

The 6-3-3 analysis supplies nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The ingredient blend includes feather meal, fish bone meal, alfalfa meal, langbeinite, basalt, potassium sulfate, zinc sulfate, and kelp meal. As these organic ingredients break down, they provide nutrients that support foliage, root systems, flowering, and fruit development.

This citrus fertilizer can also be considered when selecting a lemon tree fertilizer or a fertilizer for limes, oranges, mandarins, and other fruit trees. Plant needs vary with age, container size, soil conditions, and existing fertility.

Application Guidelines

  • Established trees: Apply 1 cup per inch of trunk diameter from the base toward the drip line. Lightly incorporate and water thoroughly.
  • Young trees: For trees one to two years old, use half the established-tree amount per application.
  • New plantings: Mix 1 cup with the backfill soil as directed on the label.
  • Containers: For new plantings, mix 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil. For established plants, apply 2–4 tablespoons per gallon of soil, four to six times annually.

Always check the package before application and use the current label directions if they differ from this summary. Do not apply more fertilizer solely in response to yellowing leaves; irrigation, drainage, temperature, pests, root conditions, or nutrient availability may also be involved.
