excellent product

I haven't started from seed before and found these extremely easy to use and had around a 97% germination rate. Using these made transplanting a breeze. I plant to use them again next year now that I have a bit of experience.

Larger size. Nice for starting larger seeds, too.

At 39 cents a pop

they ARE a bit expensive. But the convenience factor has to be considered. These pellets would be counter-productive if you were to use them to start a row of leeks or anything you were going to start a large amount of. In my case, where I tried them on a few cabbage and squash plants the cost wasn't a big deal. And the fact that these plants can now be transplanted without any root disturbance is a major plus.
Not having any experience with this type of starting medium I did have to do a bit of research - do I just drop the seed in the hole or do I fill the hole with Quickstart or some other mix? I quick look at YouTube showed me that all I had to do was manipulate the top of the pellet to collapse the materiel into the opening.
So far, a big Thumbs Up!

Good size

These are larger than the typical peat pellet, which makes them ideal for larger seeds like melons and squash. I have been using these for several years and am very pleased with them.

Awesome!

These do what they’re suppose to do. Makes the growing easy! Soaked some when I got them and seeds started sprouting a couple days later.
