Dutch White Clover - Nitrocoated Seed (lb)
Good for Shady Areas
Trifolium repens Perennial legume cover crop.
Dutch White Clover is a hardy, low-growing perennial valued for its resilience and adaptability in lawns, pathways, orchards, vineyards, and erosion-prone sites. Known for its white flowers and dense foliage, it fixes nitrogen naturally—up to 165 lb/acre—enriching soil without synthetic fertilizers. Thriving in both sun and partial shade, it tolerates mowing, suppresses weeds, and creates long-lasting, low-maintenance ground cover. With a moderately deep root system, Dutch White Clover is drought-tolerant once established and improves soil structure for healthier turf and garden systems.
Why Choose Dutch White Clover?
This resilient clover variety is the lowest-growing of the white clovers, making it ideal for lawns and turf blends. It grows up to 8" tall, spreads quickly, and forms a dense sod that suppresses weeds while improving soil health. It performs best in moist, well-drained soils with good lime, phosphate, and potash levels, though it adapts to a wide range of conditions. Sensitive to synthetic nitrogen, Dutch White Clover is especially suited for organic growing systems.

Germinated and took within two days and some hand watering
All the staff at grow organic were outstanding! What a treasure! They helped with confirming they had what I needed, loaded the truck, helped me figure my taxation and even offered advice in the future for consulting about organic growing!
Awesome all the way around!!
Thanks again!!
I spread the seed in my garden. Feels great under foot, kids and dog love how cool it feels in the Summer.
Germinates quickly, within a week. Great coverage and minimal to no weeds. Hard to grow grass in desert climate and this did a phenomenal job of filling in gaps.
Easy to sow, sprouted within one week with a light cover of straw. I’ll be ordering more in fall.
