Connection guidance: Confirm the thread, tubing, or hose size on both sides of the Gilmour Metal Hose Mender before installation. Cut flexible tubing square where applicable, seat each connection fully, and use only the sealing method recommended for that fitting style. Start water slowly, check for movement or seepage, and retighten by hand as appropriate; excessive force can damage plastic threads or washers. Flush new or repaired lines before attaching small emitters.
