Strictly Medicinal Borage Seeds (Organic)
Edible Blue and Purple Flowers
Borage seeds are a rewarding choice for home gardeners and small-scale farmers looking to attract pollinators and enhance soil health. This hardy annual herb produces vibrant blue, star-shaped flowers that bloom profusely through the summer, drawing bees and other beneficial insects to your garden. Native to the Mediterranean and widely adapted across temperate zones, borage is ideal for organic growers seeking low-maintenance, high-benefit crops.
The plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, often reseeding itself for natural succession planting. With a robust, upright growth habit and fuzzy, cucumber-scented leaves, borage makes a striking companion plant in vegetable and herb gardens. Its flowers are edible and commonly used to garnish salads, beverages, or desserts. Borage also improves soil fertility, acting as a dynamic accumulator that draws up nutrients for neighboring crops.
Whether you’re establishing a pollinator corridor, enriching your soil organically, or adding edible flowers to your kitchen garden, borage is a dependable and multifunctional herb. Sow directly in spring and expect blooms within 8–10 weeks. Plants reach 18–24 inches tall and continue to bloom until frost.

Another great success with these Peaceful Valley seeds. Planted in small pots to begin and transplanted into the ground later, where it grew to around 2' diameter in size! I enjoyed the flowers and leaves (whole plant is edible) but this plant is also just so beautiful. I was also pleasantly surprised to find tons of seeds at the end of life cycle and was able to collect many of them.
Growing well through the winter indoors! Can't wait to see how it does moving it outside in the spring.
So many great uses, I’m looking forward to what it adds to our garden this year! Shipping was fast and efficient with a lot of great info on the seed packet.
These germinated nicely and are growing well!
Planted between our peppers and tomatoes, keeps horn worms at bay and looks great on our salads, we love the blue flowers.
